Community College Rappelling Fundraiser Ideas

By Barbara Russell

You will need to learn about Community College Fundraising if you want to help your school retain some of its programs. Coming up with fresh ideas each year can somewhat tap you out. You obviously can t present the rappelling fundraiser ideas, in the same way, each year, they need to be interesting and appeal to the masses in order for them to generate any money. Here are a few ideas you can use if you need a little help.

Everyone enters a competition with the hopes that they will win. If you can give them that, then you will be able to attract their attention. To ensure that you don t spend too much money trying to figure out what to give away. You can get a donor to give a worthy prize. The more people enter the more money you can make for the programs you want to run.

You can pin departments within your school against each other. Basically, they should be in charge of accumulating funds on their own, for their programs. You must make it a competition, add a deadline and give incentives to the department that comes out on top. A department is an entire team, no one person will be responsible for generating ideas. It will be a group effort and that will improve their odds and help them find exciting ways to do this.

You can make things more fun for the entire school. Get everyone to go out looking for funds and they must reach a certain amount at a given time. If that happens as it should, the campus gets a concert. To save money or not be charged at all get assistance from your alumni students. This can be really rewarding and it can bring all the students together.

You could offer naming rights to those who are able to reach the mark that has been set. If you have a new facility, new grounds, new anything basically. That gets to be named by the winning team, this name will stand so long as the college stands. This can make students and other interested parties feel more included in how decisions are made. This is good for the overall spirit of the school.

Rules can change over time especially if they don t work for the direction the school is taking. Usually to make that kind of change the school governing body would need to sit in a meeting before an agreement is formed. You may change it up this time around, get the groups with the most cash accumulated to remove a rule. You should be clear about which rules specifically, and which ones can t be changed as well.

You may also reproduce some ideas that are used normally, just add a different element. Many organizations use walk-a-thons for their initiatives. You can change this up and make it a competitive dance-a-thon. Set the mood, give it a club like feel make it a place where all students want to be. This will rake in the cash and get the attention of some interested parties.

Constantly having to pick your brain about changing it up each year is hard. Taking older classics and spinning them can solve most of your problems. Just remember your goal and stop at nothing to achieve it and make money for the college and its programs.
